getting used to the controls of my Sony SLR
just hanging around
a few more pictures of some of the other creatures there
after seeing the sign saying 'please don't fee the iguanas' it took us a while to find them hiding up high

Zara, there was a more orangey coloured iguana there too. It looked like there were 3 or 4 in total. Here's the orangey one chilling out on the hot air duct

come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Bem, it makes a change to the too many weekends I spent last year just lazing around the house doing sod all lol. It's quite an interesting place for anyone who likes that sort of thing. They have a few different insects and arachnids too, including some black widows which were behind two different layers of glass It's not too pricey (about £5 each) and stratford is a lovely town too
I thought you bought a Canon?
thanks Kate. I'm afraid I'm one of the ones who deviated from the more common Canon or Nikon and went for the Sony instead
haha it was very interested in me for sure, I think it was more of a lick that a kiss though (not sure whether that is better or not ). without wanting to sound too grim I think it was because it was very hot and humid in there and I was a bit sweaty at the time trying to acclimatise to the conditions. perhaps it liked my salty face
Re: the bird...have you checked you've still got your wallet in your pocket?
My wallet was safely in my trouser pocket but I did check to make sure it hadn't crapped down my back
