Crested the brow of a hill on my customary route home tonight to be met with a load of cars at the side of the road and a plethora of flashing lights (blue)

Picked my way through them. Glanced right.

Silver saloon, Mondeo perhaps, in the field looking poorly.

Huddled shape lying on the ploughed field, looking.. er... well... dead actually mellow.gif

Take care out there. I don't guess that guy had any idea when he left home this morning.

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Not a nice sight to see. I take my hat off to the Emergency Services that deal with this kind of thing on a daily basis.

There seems to be a few accidents occuring this time of year.

A guy on my other site ZSOC had a fatal accident although he survived he killed another all by accident.

Dreadful and tragic.

Please drive carefully people you never know what is round the next corner.

A best pal of mine is MET police and the amount of times he said he's been first on scene and have had to hold people until the emergency services have got there. He once told of a little 9 year old girl who didnt make it and died in his hands, poor little thing.

These stories really hit home.

Agreed Del, what they have to see and deal with doesn't bear thinking about.

I agree too, if I saw some of these terrible things I would probably need counselling. They really are angels good.gif

past remnants of accident this morning while taking wife up to stables. Lots of flashing lights and people moving around a car, no one in any hurry ... !

Sobering thoughts all round.
