Go for the Toyo Proxes T1R's if you have the choice. Especially if its for a FRP.

Even though it is a distance to travel they are a little cheaper from Pumabuild

Pumabuild.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=89_94_96&products_id=282&osCsid=d0b40bcdb7cf8f355a50d0be91badc47" target="_blank">Pumabuild.co.uk/catalog/product...a50d0be91badc47" target="_blank">http://www.Pumabuild.co.uk/catalog/product...a50d0be91badc47
Now HiD ready. Are you ready for the switch over?

Reflection is nothing without depth.

Sorry, that was my fingers.

It should have read T1-Rs

Pumabuild to home say 140 miles. 280 mile round trip at about 50p / mile. I think not

It's less painful to pretend that's what it costs. It's just self deception though.

Say

Depreciation Å“2,000
Petrol Å“1,450
Servicing Å“580
Tyres Å“200
Insurance Å“350
RAC Å“120
Road Tax Å“140
The rest (Car washes, oil, breakages, courtesy cars, etc etc etc) Å“500 (say)
Interest on Å“8,000 loan Å“500

Total around Å“5840 per year

Divide by 12,000 miles = 48.3p / mile

280 x 48.3p = Å“135.24p to save Å“11 per tyre.

Make sense to you?

Especially when you consider it is virtually all uninspiring motorway or A14?

I bought mine online from www.mytryes.co.uk and had my local tyre fitter fit them worked out approx Å“88 per corner all in, so no that is pricey get them online then get them to fit them wink.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

If you want to take Kate's shopping advice, try www.mytyres.co.uk rather than mytryes.co.uk wink.gif

i think those calculations may be a little ott! lol

insurance, road tax, cost of car, and RAC cant really be used to calculate the cost of one journey!
after all these are all fixed costs! if you drove 0 miles all year you would still have to pay these.

you need to calculate all the variable costs that are directly attributable to the jouney. i.e. petrol used, tyre wear, wear on car.. etc. im sure you will be glad to hear it will be much less. biggrin.gif

and on the subject of tyres Auto Express Tyre Test 2005

Nick
