I'm always thinking up new ideas - the '16v' badges as seen on Saxo VTS' - shall I put one on the bottom right hand side of my Puma's boot?

Would it look naff or great?? ja_stupid.gif

Not unless it's to go with your '5 Speed Gearbox' side flash sticker, as seen on an 80s Lada Riva ja_bebe.gif

16 valves is nothing to shout about these days.

How about a VCT badge?

Mind you, it'd still look naff...

As Mercedes once said, it's what you don't put on rather than what you do that counts good.gif

And might put a potential buyer off when you come to sell.

I quite like the fact that Ford didn't put anything but the Ford badge on the tailgate. The car is so distinctive, it doesn't need any advertising. It's also a conversation starter. The FRP hasn't even got Puma written on it anywhere on the outside. A petrol station attendant once asked me 'What kind of Ford is that then?' Brought a smile to my face. I then bored the pants off him with my potted history of the FRP speech.

A timeshare salesman, who'd watched me arrive and park the FRP (nose on to the window he was looking out of) guessed "Porsche?"

There was one badge put on the Puma tailgate in Europe and this was an ABS badge on the 1.7 Puma.
I know as my first Puma came with this badge as was the practice in Belgium to place a badge on the boot as ABS was an option.
Also the very first 1.4 came with this badge to in the UK where the buyer bought the option as it was an extra when the 1.4 first came out.
There is a picture in the Gallery of this badge.

It's best with no extra stick on badges, more classy that way.
If it had come with an ABS one, I'd have pulled it off. blink.gif

No, I mean the Puma. I'll take it how it comes, unless it's something stupid like ABS. I mean, why!? Just seems a really odd thing to stick on the boot. The Puma has much cooler things than ABS...

I guess that from an informative point of view, 'ABS' might be the most useful badge to the driver behind you. wink.gif

go with what you like and want to do biggrin.gif any modifications are personal taste but it doesn't stop those who want to if no one else likes them, each to our own, let's face it I have bright red mud flaps and a boy racer sun strip blink.gif but I like them biggrin.gif it helps if what ever you do is reverisble though so that if you sold the car on you could remove your mods before advertising.
