How quick's a 2.0 Corsa? It's still crap, but I would think it's pretty fast. They seem to be underestimating Civic's and Saxo's particularly. Get 160bhp VTS, and it will absolutely fly. Same with tuned VAG cars.

I would think a standard Puma would be able to cope with all but the GSI's, which would be on par maybe. How many bhp has a mk1 GSI got?

looks to me as though they are only interested in taking on cars they know they can beat - don't want egg on face!

A Focus RS should be enough to dispose of all the Corsa's.

Not necessarily so, unless they are all standard...have you seen/heard a lightened Corsa running a highly tuned 2.0 16V? The only Corsa bit might be the shell...

I've seen an FRS on track with such cars and it looked like it was going backwards.

Sorry, should have said. I meant tuned Focus vs tuned Corsa.
They seem to be heading towards the Renault direction anyway, the Clio's are rapid! Noticed a guy on the Saxo forum too who has a 165bhp VTS that's done a 12.something 1/4 mile IIRC. :eyes:

One of the 2.0L conversions is 160BHP with a said 0-60 of 7 secs, but there seems so much weight in the car with bodykits and shiny roll cages that it might not actually be that quick....who knows!?

Nadine - that you are a Corsa owner means nothing. My g/f owns one and longs to let me drive my kat. I once let her drive it the last 300yds to my house on the last day of my week's free insurance from Fordinsure when I first bought the car.

That was 2 years ago and she has still not been behind the wheel since.

You have my sincerest sympathy

One day you may own a car that actually turns with the steering wheel stickpoke.gif

Not all bad, I doubt there is a car that is cheaper to own, especially the 1.0L 12V version.

Hello. This was previously an inflammatory comment about Corsas, but have removed it as I don't want to upset people. Sorry.
