I will be picking up this little beauty on Saturday.

71k, fully stamped service history, only one owner from new. Runs as smooth and as quiet as you like, faster than my XR3i and hell of a lot more comfortable!

They're only selling because their dog no longer fits in the car! (Not quite fully grown rottweiler!)

There is a small patch of rust on the passenger side rear wheel arch, but what I've not spent from my budget I'm going to use to get that sorted out. biggrin.gif

It's Cuirass by the way. Why Ford named a colour after a piece of armour, I'll never know. huh.gif

And before the link gets posted, I've already read through the check list and buying guide etc. tongue.gif

Nice to know that democracy is alive and well, and that we got to defend ourselves. Not.

welcome to the big grin club!
sex kitten
come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Yeah, had that already, and that was just the test drive! My dad came with me to have a look, when he asked me if I liked it when I came back after the drive, I just grinned at him like an idiot! laugh.gif

'Tis a 1.7. Of course! Would I go for anything less when I've been driving a 1.8i XR3i for the last two years! happy.gif

£2250 is what I'm paying for her. I'm sure they could have asked for more when you take into consideration how well it's been looked after.

I can't wait for Saturday, then I'll be counting down to Easter and my first blast down the M40 in her on my way to see the other half in Brighton. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Looks gorgeous smile.gif Looks like you have found one in a really nice condition

I'm sure you will enjoy it, Puma's are wonderful!!

Nice colour too, I looked for Cuirass myself but went for the newer Medium Steel Blue. Only when the two are next to one another you can tell the difference!!

Welcome to PP...

I had two spots of rust on my Pooma when I bought her, both back arches. It cost in total £300 to sort it...!

I ran the BUPA Great Manchester Run on 17 May 2009 to raise money for CANCER RESEARCH UK

I'm going to get both rear panels and door treated and resprayed, quoted £500 for the lot.

There are other sections that will need doing soon, but they will have to wait a few months.

So far I've got my own stereo in, I've been surprised by the boot space, I've cracked my head a couple of times on the door frame and I've put an air freshner in to try and get rid of the lingering smell of dog.

Now I've just got to get my old car through an MOT and sold.

No way, you had the lingering dog smell too.... it took me about 10 air fresheners and a full interior valet to get rid of it!!!

Good luck in selling your old car good.gif

I probably haven't found it yet, but this one will do me for a while. At least until my budget can cope with being more selective!

Cheers! Don't suppose you know of anyone who'd be interested in a 15yr old XR3i? laugh.gif
