I read Scubasteve's excellent photo article on changing rear shoes, just wondered about these points:
1) Are the 30mm rear hub nuts 'handed' - or are they normal RH threads on both sides ?
2) Is it ok to re-use the same hub nuts ?
3) Both the Ford KA and Fiesta manuals describe working from the backplate side to unbolt the entire hub / drum assembly. Is this possible on a Puma and if so would any recommend this method ?
Thank you for any responses.

1) Normal RH threads on both sides.
2) Some people do, personally, I would use new (around £7-8 each).
3) Yes, this is the method described in the Ford Technical Information System (TIS). The advantage is you do not disturb the the 235Nm torque setting for the bearing. However, if the car has a high mileage, I would use this opportunity to replace the wheel bearings, and therefore remove the drum via the hub nut method.

The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.

Thanks Rick, I might try the Ford TIS method first. Car has only done 38,000 so bearings should still be good.
