Does anyone know of the best remote turn on to use off of a 6000 CD headunit? I have thought of using, ignition - but then when you turn the stereo on with ignition off.... no amps will be on. - is there an output on it that turns to 12v when its on.... I don't think there is as the car doesn't have a leccy aerial, off board amp, disc changer ..... actually - its disc changer compatable - that must mean that it has - anyone know the wire? or pin?

Cheers,
Rob

If you buzz out the CD changer pins, there will probably be a 12v there that can be used as a remote... (i don't have the pin out though  )

There is no remote pin on teh 6000, best option that doesn't envolve "Frying" aneything on the player is to just put in a svitch and do it manualy. Or you cold just change the player ofcource..

I got the volt meter out in the end and there is a remote turn on wire off of the standard power plug that goes to the 6000 headunit... once system was installed there was still too much 'electronic noise' from running the speaker level inputs to the amps. I got it so that you wouldnt really notice it ... but it was still there. So changed the headunit in anycase.
