Blimey!

I won't be starting until Tues when i have a day off to do a few bits then cleaning and polishing in the evenings.

Quick once over sat at work before i journey up there.

Quick clean at our PP spot and thats it, i'd have polished all the bloody paintwork off by then!

I reckon i may get a valet in to do the engine bay and upholstery though. No steam cleaner at home sad.gif

Engine bay was cleaned with Water in one of those spray bottles and some kitchen roll! It's good if you use soft ones and it doesn't scratch!

My car no longer looks like this unfortunatly, it rained today, but at least I was able to get rid of all those little black tar marks.

Gave my Puma a quick wash today, its in our garage for the week so I will use the Focus for work.

Starting to prep on Friday afternoon, will do more on Saturday morning too, then I have a football match to go to.

I think I will save a bit of detailing etc for the day itself at Ford Fair. Don't want to spend the day sitting around and walking!

My house is right by a new development and they're currently slicing up concrete blocks so this is the dirt that lands on my car in 5 days:

Gonna be hard work getting the car ready for next weekend...next time I'm washing it the cover is going straight on.

Spent a solid four hours cleaning the Milly tonight...and all I've done is wash, dry and (VERY intensively) polish it. Removed shedloads of oxidation.
Had a thick layer of brick dust on it again sad.gif

Went a bit mad and removed ALL stickers and badges off the car crazy.gif

It now looks like this until I get to apply wax and clean the interior/engine bay tomorrow, if I have time...

ohmy.gif wow, done it so hard you've gotten rid of your paint. As well as most of your car! will be finishing mine tommorow if I can, another check over saturday evening, another at the meet point as i'll be getting there early and then getting the wheels off, clean, and lobbing them back on at Silverstone itself.

You have a problem with builders Colin, whats the betting I have a problem with birds?! I need to buy a gun!

I thought that yellow paint was east to look after- how wrong I was. It oxidises nearly as quickly as red sad.gif Mind you, when it's clean cool.gif

Chickens are birds so if you're gonna shoot them you're gonna have to take me as well mister cool2.gif cool2.gif Unless you just buy a gun and keep it in the cabinet blush.gif

Lol, yeah I know, but it's always one thats so big the bird has obviously had to hold it in for ages!

Could do, Colin!, though my ex's dad has guns in a cabinet (drool), so I don't need to worry about that one!. Alternatively, you could buy a tank, don't need the gun to have fun there. The colour doesn't seem to oxidise much, but id think it's a bit of a pain to keep clean though!

Couldn't agree more with the red paint though dry.gif . Major pain. Faded yellow doesn't seem to show as much as red though, as it's a very light colour, so your better off!
