Well, 5 years after the last fire and I have some news.

Seeing as he's learning to drive, and wants something a bit better than a Smart, a certain 18 year old "wallet emptier" of mine has started work on the old Geordie Beast.

I have no idea of the progress, other than the state she was last in, partially dismantled, although I do know that he's been thumbing through both my Escort and Fiesta workshop manuals, and has laid claim to all my bloody tools wink.gif

So, after a few fals starts, there looks to be hope at last!

Yay! It will be good to see the car going again after such a long spell on the sidelines. ja_cool.gif

Going to be a slow process. There is damage to the body work ( one put in by me when I clipped the Daihatsu - 2 tons of 4x4 v Puma doesnt bode well for the bodywork wink.gif ) and a large dent in one of the wings when someone dropped a plant pot complete with tree on it...

Nothing that cant be fixed though.

Major work will be engine, and new pipework for brakes etc. Oh, and that bloody engine + ecu...

Bloody hell, well done mate.

Only seen Tiggr mobile once, on the Gaydon/Stratford on Avon meet, where you got excited whed i completely got out of sight under Tiggr's F2 spoiler, soon backed off, as i didn't want the front of CJ sizzled.

Wonder how many times he bangs his head before he takes out the front roll bar wink.gif
Though insurance for drivng it might be a rain on the party ja_stupid.gif
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Matt make him plan out EVERYTHING he wants before he starts so hes got a good plan he can work to so he doesnt buy stuff he doesnt need or stuff that is miss matched.

Is he still thinking CVH or is he coming into the modern era??
