First the good news.
Engine running a lot sweeter now, wont stall now either...
Bad news.
1. New clutch needed.
2. Bell housing cracked.
3. New starter needed.
4. New battery needed.
5. Alternator needs reconditioning
6. Turbo leaking small amount of oil.
7. Voltage drop from battery excessive.
So, there we have it. Hopefully once this rectified, then I should have a decent car. Just taken 3 years!!!
Be warned!!!!!

Pulling out of a junction, the engine died. Having tried in vain to restart her, and checked for spark etc, I resigned myself to a roadside vigil whilst waiting for the familiar yellow flashing lights to appear.
Turns out that the pressure uplift pump was not secured properly, and as it moved in the cradle, would occasionally short out the 12v feed. In doing so, it burnt out both the main fuel pump and the secondary pump relays.
Someone had changed the standard fuel pump fuse for a 45amp one..... Wonder when that could have happened.....
Anyway, best part of 80 quid for the relevant parts later, and I was back on my way, with yet another reason for why I should never have let anyone work on Tiggr.
All now ok....
Ho hum.....

There was an article in the local Bristol Evening Post recently and the AA cancelled someones membership because they called them out 7 or 8 times in two years. Every call out was for a legitimate problem e.g not running out of fuel etc
She can't apply for AA membership again for another 3 years. I wouldn't bother reapplying after treatment like that!

Best was 3 times in one night. (although 2nd time was due to first bloke not crimping the lead properly...)

Surely that's a risk they take in signing you up as a member. I'm sure there are thousands of members who never call out the AA, I've only called them out twice in my 10 years of driving.
You would have thought they'd take the good with the bad, as at the end of the day that's why we take out the membership.

Basically some people were taking the michael, and using them on a regular basis to fix cars that really shouldnt be on the road (no comments about iggr pls :-) )
Therefore they reserve the right to remove your cover.
