Introduction.

As many of you might be aware, Pumapeople joined with The Tigra Club (TTC) to form a joint display during last September's Trax event. This event was a great success and we were all made to feel very welcome by the Tigra owners.

In light of the positive spirit in which this event took place, Adam (one of the TTC forum moderators and main meet organiser) and myself agreed that we would work together to devise another meet where the Puma's and Tigra's could get together again.

I very much wanted this event to be special and allow it the maximum exposure to show that the traditional rivalry between Ford and Vauxhall, the Puma and the Tigra, can be put to one side to allow owners to meet, chat, and make new friends.

'Total Vauxhall' magazine are going to give coverage to this event in a future issue.

Meet Concept.

This event will take place in the grounds of the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon. We will park up in formation for a number of group photographs, and also allow for the magazine photographer to take 'action' shots of some individual vehicles on the Centre's access roads, etc. biggrin.gif Lunch will be available in the museum's restaurant.

Whilst this is taking place, you are welcome to take time to explore the excellent museum that covers every aspect of the history of car production in the UK. The museum houses a selection of very rare vehicles and covers a large number of different manufactures, including Ford and Vauxhall.

You can read more details about the Heritage Motor Centre here:

<a href="http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk" target="_blank">http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk</a>

Entrance into the museum is usually £8, but I have secured a limited number of entrance tickets at a reduced price of £6. biggrin.gif

Once the photographic activities at the Heritage Motor Centre have taken place, we will continue on to a local pub for a post-meet drink, before heading home for the day.

The ultimate aim of this event is to create a fun day for the Tigra and Puma owners attending, maybe see your car in print, and spread the word about The Tigra Club and get some new members on board. (and for Pumapeople too of course!! wink.gif )

I am really looking forward to us all joining with The Tigra Club for this event, for what I am sure will be a fun day, on which we can make many new friends, and enjoy our respective small coupes together. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I received official confirmation from the Heritage Motor Centre today regarding our plans for this event. biggrin.gif I'm also pleased to say that I have managed to agree a museum entrance fee for all those attending of £6 per person, rather than the normal £8. biggrin.gif

I've also emailed Total Vauxhall magazine with the final details of what's happening. So therefore I should have a further update regarding the coverage we are getting in Total Vauxhall and maybe Fast Ford too, by early next week. biggrin.gif

This thread is open for business now, so please post away! biggrin.gif

Pray that I get a job (I don't mean this in a religious sense, I mean put out some positive vibes - it is the same conceptually!) so I can come!

Chris, just to let you know i'll be coming to this even if I don't have the Puma by then, but i'll park my (hopefully) new beast out of the way.
The way it's looking at the moment though is that i'll still have the Puma, wether it'll be on the road is a different story. I'll keep you posted.

Looking forward to this already by the way, will be a good day out!.

Thanks for all the support guys. biggrin.gif I'm hoping it should be a great day out!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

As I posted previeously in the last thread, if anyone knows someone with a Tigra, then get tham to come along to this event. biggrin.gif What is going to make it such a special day is having as many Puma's and Tigra's along as possible. biggrin.gif The bigger the meet, the more the coverage we might get to see in the magazines. wink.gif
