Following my enjoyment of this Owners club and its Meets, Ive been wanting to organise one of my own!

Details...

-1030 Meet at Runneymede Pleasure Ground (South Side of River) near Junction 13 of the M25 Ring,

-A 25 minute~ drive to the History on Wheels Museum, that only opens 12 Days per year, and contains many TV / Famous Cars. (£5 Each Approx)
[2 hours] http://www.historyonwheels.co.uk/index.php...MN_position=1:1

-Followed by a half hour drive to Lunch at White Waltham Airfield- ( £5-£10 ) (See Menu on page 3.) 1 o'clock.

-A drive out on some of Berkshire's Country Roads, [45 mins]

-A short stop in Windsor Great Park

-Then, a chance to Visit the Air Forces Memorial at Runneymede to reflect (Default - but there are some other options)
http://www.windsor-information.co.uk/attra...cesmemorial.php

Options: Sample to tourist sights of Windsor Town / Laze about near Virginia Water or the Thames / Laugh at some prices in the Ferrari / Porsche / Lambo Garage (Parking costs) /

I have tried my best to de-conflict with as many roundabouts as possible, and due to the lack of good driving roads (Not enough mountains) I've hopefully put in some interesting points cool.gif Please try to have a good study of the Route (It now runs A - E laugh.gif ) My friend in a noisy Peugeot 106 will be Tail-end ( Though do not trust his Navigation skills completely)

Carpe Diem!

I have just been overseeing the route I had in mind and one way seeemed like we could get split up a bit, so I may rearrange the order of things slightly. Ive just realised myself that Quarter to Ten is a tad early - 1030 It is!

If it is a great crested newt then it is protected from disturbance (I am sure you know this already though). You really ought to let your local recorder know if possible biggrin.gif - saying that there isn't currently an active amphibian group in London so never mind! biggrin.gif

Not a great crested unfortunatly, just a common one. It is Staines!

Just to add it is one of the few public days this Museum is open, So expect a crowd.

They are the common ones!!! They are extremely rare on a European scale, hence the protection! smile.gif

My initial thought: Yeah, we'd be up for this. biggrin.gif

Then I checked the date, and it clashes with Linkin Park at MK Bowl. sad.gif

Bugger.
Nice to know that democracy is alive and well, and that we got to defend ourselves. Not.
