Removing Ecu!

can you get the ecu out without taking out the dash? i couldnt see a way!

also has anyone got a tape ecu remapped to frp spec, if so who did it and how much does it cost?

what do i need for a plug and play swap? ecu key and ..transponder thingy?

Pumaspeed did mine.
Updated my TAPE Ecu to a FRP map...not sure exactly how they did it.

Cost me £200 I think sad.gif Worst mod so far.

An FRP map on your ECU will do nothing without the rest of the FRP bits in place..
Now Driving everyone mad.

Present..
Honda 900 Hornet....120bhp...Two wheeled madness and lovin it
Mk2 MX5 1.8is.....150bhp. LSD= Fun.....
Fiesta ST....... 174bhp...A Warm hatch as standard but chuck a couple of £££ at it and its spot on...
Past...
Clio Cup 172...176bhp...Its Fast it handles but falls to bits....
Mk1 MX5 1.8is........130bhp...A Fun car superb handling rubbish in the snow....
2 FRP's............150bhp...A Great car great handling but needed more power....should of kept one...

i think it would do something seen as the car is a frp!

I'm guessing that was aimed at me.
I had it installed as it had been "proved" that it added 7bhp to a standard Ford KA.
With a 4-2-1 Milltek I expected more gains than that, but got none.
