Hi there.

I'm new here so a big HELLO to all.

I'm very sorry if this question has been answered many times before.

I was recommended to come here regarding the code for myFord Fiesta Traffic 300 car radio.

It's serial number is M203142 and a long time ago I wrotethe code in my Fiesta Handbook which I believe is 4847.

I have entered the code correctly (using the radio presetkeys 1-4) but when I press preset number 5 the radio switches of immediatelyand then turns back on asking for a code again. Every time it powers off thenon after pressing preset number 5 it shows the number 1 below where you enterthe code so I believe that this means that I still have 3 attempts to enter thecode.

I have entered the same code say about 7 or 8 times nowand every time I press 5 it just switches off then back on again with 'CODE'displayed and the 4 dashes where the code numbers appear when your enteringthem.

As I say, I'm pretty sure it's the correct code.

If anyone is able to check if I have the correct codeand/or have any ideas on how to fix this issue I would be very grateful ifsomeone could get back to me as soon as they can.

Many thanks in advance,

Andrew

Hi
There is a sticky thread in this section on obtaining the code I would check again what the code is for your unit.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

4847 is indeed correct for that serial number.

It would appear that the unit is faulty, you certainly would not get those symptoms if the incorrect code was entered.

try bending the removable security panel slightly as it sounds its not making proper contact.
