So I got a Manfrotto 190 and a basic three way head instead - and a remote timer. Well, needs must, eh?
So I took the little Puma out to the sticks on a rare sunny afternoon yesterday, and got some snapples.
She sits so nicely:

I prefer it with the sign in the way, but then I'm odd.

One of my favourite hobbies - Valley Hacking. Took a staggeringly long time to expose this, as the sky and far valley were overexposed, car and foreground underexposed. In the end Automagic Witchcraft Mode did a better job than me:

Some attempts at night shots. Forgot I had left the door open! So titled because this is what the car looks like when I have my little mid-thrash ciggy/leg stretch breaks....

Same angle, this time with the aid of a torch and lots of running around like a numpty. Realise now I should have left the exposure settings the same as I'm missing the horizon.

Night vision! by StevenRaith, on Flickr
Any thoughts? I have a few mates with remote triggered flashguns who are up for a bit of a play in the valleys in the next few weeks, so I might have some more stuff soon.
I don't think Flickr/iPhoto has maintained the EXIF data terribly well
Oh, and bear in mind it's been about four years since I used a camera in anger, patience.
Oh and next time I'll wash the car beforehand, and also not dirty it up by doing standing starts in mud. On a related note, the traction control really is non-existent on Pumas, innit....?
Oh, and finally, all shots were exported to Flickr from RAW files in iPhoto. Not a massive fan of either TBH, going to see if I can grab some space on the works hosted servers, and start using UFRaw/GIMP again so at least I can upload the full quality versions with EXIF info embedded; I think Flickr strips the EXIF unless you pay for Pro.
