I did 9 laps when i was over & i managed to break the 10minute mark by doing a 9min 55secs which isnt very fast but it does take a few laps to get knowledge of the track.

Ive now done 20 laps overall & i'll be going back in september to try & knock a few more seconds off my time biggrin.gif

Yeah there are alot of photographers there, you just have to find their websites.

Register on www.ringersforum.com & you will find alot of info on the ins & outs of the track etc

Nice pics...

Did the photographers just take pics of everyone and you hunted them out?????

I'm hoping to get under the 10 minute mark too but am going to take it easy for a few laps to feel my way. I've heard it's a lot bumpier than my PS2 game lets on...lol

Also wanted to ask....are you allowed to buy a set amount of laps and use them over 2 days or do you have to use them the day you buy them. Not sure how it works but it would be good if we could block buy a ton of laps between a few of us to save money and all chip in for how ever many laps we wanted to do. Worth a try but I'm pessimistic that they'd let us do it.

Not sure about the two day thing (anyone?) But you purchase the tickets from a vending machine that you then insert at the barrier and off you go. So yeah buying 10 laps between 4 of you and just sharing out the tickets is possible smile.gif

If that's the case - i.e. like a token or something then I can't see why they can't be used the next day unless they are date stamped.

Think I need to do some research. Any excuse to save a few squid...lol

Love those pictures and I must admit I like your colour scheme, unique but in a good way.

I seem to recall that you get a token from the machine, and I don't recall they were date stamped. I purchased five in the morning to be used throughout the day.

For those going have a great time - I'd love to go back one day. Drive safely cool.gif

Yeah i hunted for the pics, theres LOADS of photographers over there, your car pops up everywhere & its nice to see pics taken by professionals.

If you get under 10 minutes in your Puma within the first 20 laps you'll be doing well!!! The track is very difficult & as much as everyone thinks its easy on the PS2, there are alot more things to take into consideration i.e Track condition, traffic, accidents, motorbikes etc etc etc.........have a look on here, it gives you all the info you require http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/

There is a new system for the lap passes this year as they are expanding the F1 buildings & facilities. There will also be a Ring Werk theme park that'll really get tongues wagging, it will be a 15,000 square meter theme park with a science and history exhibition and a crazy rollercoaster that will start inside and then run alongside the track doing 0-135mph in 2.5 seconds – twice as fast as an F1 car and 3.4g, which is the highest permissible by the German authorities. This is due to open within the next 2 months.............................

.....Back to the passes lol, the passes are now "creditcard type" passes, you keep them forever & top them up everytime you want to buy laps. Laps last from 1st January till 31st December so there is no "day" or "2 day" restriction on them, they last a calander year.

Prices in Euros

Single lap - 22
4-lap - 75
8-lap - 145
15-lap - 250
25-lap - 390

Hope this helps wink.gif
