These Puma FRP Alcon's now stop on something with 3.1x the power of an FRP (Still Ford Powered though).

Caliper's refreshed with all new seals at BG racing, they made the Ali bells for the 305mm Vented AP Rally Discs. Biggest we could squeeze under a 15" rim. Only have to stop 1000kg.

Should have popped a pic of the whole car and what it is!

TVR Griffith 200 (technically just a Griffith as built in the states from a rolling chassis TVR sent over that Jack Griffith then put the Mustang drive trains in), like the Cobra but about 3 years later.

Mines the 3rd one out of the factory. Now full race (not fia - hate the mods you have to do to them and budget does not stretch to racing against limitless budget 1-2mill Cobra's and the like.

Engine is a very trick one "based" around a 4 bolt Ford SVO 302 bottom end. If a FRP makes 155bhp you can work out what it makes (dyno'd from fresh build over the winter where it gains 38bhp from first build (in US), not a lot better, just need to get head around racing it. That much power / torque through only 225/60x15 sticky rubber(!), and in a wheelbase 11.8 inches "less" than the Puma. Make for an interesting ride.

That's an interesting ride. Are you looking at an MSA based series instead for racing or are you enjoying track time for pleasure.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

It took 4.5 years to build from a partly abandoned project (in France), car had likely done less than 5 years on the road before something laid it up (from tracing history through most of later owners), then deteriorating while being pasted from owner to owner in the state before going to France in about 2001. It was finished about 3 years ago, but have only raced (I think 4 or 5 times in that time), in the now defunct Thoroughbred Sportscar series and CSCC Swing Sixties (only enter one of these at Spa where the engine had and issue), not raced it since. But will now be run in the Swing Sixties 40 min (driver change) races and maybe the Bernies V8 series. Was still getting used to it and getting bugs work out of it before Spa. Have a few other TR racers hence why not raced that much. But will be coming out more (10th Sept Donington) and maybe one or two more before the end of the year. So racing more than tracking (hard to get it quiet enough for most track days).

I hadn't thought about the noise considerations of many tracks, though that also limits some racing don't CSCC use tracks like Brands Hatch where there is a noise limit?
The Ariel Atom runs the same callipers which might be useful to know from point of getting spares and I think Chris has recently had a batch of pistons made.

A lot of trackdays (I'm not that experienced in this area as want to fight over a given bit of track :) ), have quite low noise levels (https://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/) vs the pure race meetings (which are normally 105db). Trackdays will be generally be a lot less. I guess my cars would be around the 103+db so can't really get onto many track days, though I do have a few extra end pipes to go on them or extra boxes to replace straight through ones in order to get me through noise tests at the more anal places like Combe or Zandvoort. This https://www.youtube....GbFDgTvM&t=657s is with the loud setup on it vs https://www.youtube....h?v=Pa2krHxaszQ quiet. I prefer being Loud!!!
