Suddenly I have started to get a metallic rattling/clinging sound from up front - it sounds like it has something to do with the discs. But it is difficult to diagnose as there is no clear connection with for example braking or steering. But it comes on almost every corner, both when turning left and right, and also on straights intermittently. There does not seem to be any connection between the noise and for example going over bumps. Steering and braking works fine and the ABS-lamp does not light up. However, thinking about it, I'm not sure I hear the diagnosis crunch sound any more when I hit 12mph (or whatever it is) just after I have started. I have new wheel bearings since a week and another thing is that I just the other day managed to uncharge the battery (bad battery), and had to jumpstart the car. Thinking about it, it was maybe after this that the noise started - but that does of course not have to mean that there is a connection. Does anybody have a clue??

Hi
I would say first thing to do would be to get the wheels off and have a good look around. Or go back to whoever did the bearings and ask them to have a look.
From your description it sounds like it could be the ABS activating. I would suspect one of the sensors is not picking up correctly.
