Crashed my last track car, just bought another one that needs picking up.

Should really book on some stuff to be going on with this year. How much did you get give for Oulton?

I'm in Liverpool so that is also fairly handy for me, great track as well although tip toes around Lodge the whole day that time of year.

Hi Ian, crashing your track car not a good idea, although pumas are quite common in the bargain basement, so a new one should be straightforward.

as im pretty new to the track ive got on at Oulton on a novice only day for £85! (sold out im afraid)

and yes, im sure itll be slippy mid Feb, good way to find the smooth lines...

I'll be out in my FRP at Snetterton 300 on April 10th with some of the guys from Project Puma.

I think it's £139, all day open pit lane.

Hi Kat, I agree Jan is early, but I wasnt going to pass up Oulton for that price!
I am just paranoid that my carfully laid plans will go to cock if i leave things too late.

Hi Bentleya, Snetterton is a hell of a drag for me (220 miles!) so thats one to work up to.
im hoping to do a southern track or two around Fordfair in early August to save me some petrol and have a weeks holiday tracking about....

April 10th as BentleyA says... you might see one or two unique powerful Pumas there!

Hi,

I am on that trackday for a testing session for my Puma Cup car, I have merely said we will be there and if anyone else wants to come along that day then that will be great.

All the people who want to attend can book their own track time and garage should they want to .

There is no formal organising of it, but if you turn up then theres nothing wrong with that. It stops people pulling out and refunds etc, If people want to go then they do their own booking.

Mac

Thats quite true !!

Im on a fairly modest budget and have commitments so im limited to tracks within around 100 miles of manchester.

Ill shout up as i go for trackdays at Oulton, Angelsey, Blyton,Cadwell,Donington etc
plus im looking at places like Aintree who are predominantly sprint venues, but do do the odd trackday.

Ive just booked my second trackday of the season :-)

So far Im at

Oulton Park----14/2/14
Angelsey--------8/3/14

There are still places at Angelsey (OPL)
Im now looking for something in early April.

Has anyone got anything planned?

Bedford Autodrome or Brands Hatch in May, heard Bedfords good, loads of run off space so can really give it some stick with confidence, which I must attempt I couldn't do that much of at Rockingham but still had a laugh. Thinking of doing a novice session with MSV, could learn a lot and they are cheap in relation to many open pit days.

MSV limit who can either do novice or open pit by number of track days already attended.
So I guess you can do one or the other but not qualify to do both.

Bedford and Brands are both a hell of a drag for me, I may go south with the car for a week or so to take in a few of these tracks. no plans at the mo though.

Kat is quite right. MSV have specified that to qualify i cannot have attended more than 3 trackdays
(how they check i dont know) but i wouldnt want to turn up just to be shown the gate by trying to be a smart-arse.
The novice/groups trackday is cheap, but only 2hrs in total on track!. So compared to giving it rice on an OPL (2+hrs morning & Afternoon) its actually expensive

There are now 3 in my group going to Angelsey, I think Cadwell Park 5/4/14 (Javelin) is looking favourable as my next booking...

Oulton is phenomenal, even in the rain

I only span once (oh yeah, and clipped the armco Posted Image)
Only a glance. It didnt stop me (or slow me down).
I was pleased to see plenty of more powerful cars - as i passed them Posted Image
