I've never used clay before and was amazed at the muck it removed. It took a full sunday morning but its the cleanest car in the street biggrin.gif  or back alley anyway!

Looks well that. I clayed the Puma a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the results.

I used Meguiars Quick Clay and Chemical Guys XXX

She's looking good! Agree with Zip It - red (and black) are the most striking Puma colours when they're clean.
I've heard nothing but good things about this Megs clay. I'm gonna have to try it.
I'm guessing I'm going to have to reserve a whole day for the full monty - wash, clay, polish and finishing wax. I think that's what's put me off trying it up to now.

Black is a stunning colour on the Puma, and when it's clean and polished I think its better then red. But having experience of black cars, so mush hard work is needed to get them looking good, and any minor (or major) paint blemish is difficult to hide.

Megs clay is superb and you can get some excellent results, but it's only 1 part of the cleaning process. I follow clay with a good polish and wax which to me are the most important stages.

with a red I too might use a Polish for the cutting effect on the flat coat, but on mine (lacquered) I have only ever waxed it and have used Clay and was impressed with the results.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Red is my favorite colour for a car, but if you don't look after them, the mirrors etc turn pink ohmy.gif

I've gone from a red phase to my current blue one rolleyes.gif

Of course Imperial Blue is the best for a Puma biggrin.gif

search for "flat wipers" on ebay. cheapest would be 12GBP per pair.

What will this clay do to silver paintwork? and does it remove scratches?

clay does not remove scratches. it simply removes "stuff" which stick to the paint work and leave it free of any sort of contanminents. Therefore the paint would look very shiny and mirror like. after claying, the car would be polished and waxed to protect it. for removing scratches, use scratch x or polishes to achieve that after claying.
