you can buy a new filter and sump plug from Ford (my preference)
the oil is 5w30 semi synthetic.
don't flush the engine or put other yucky addatives in (often discussed always pooped on)

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

drain plug is a standard 13mm if memory serves. its the standard focus one available almost everywhere, get a new one as they round off to easily

need a big drain tray etc as hold 4 & a bit litres of oil!

yeah its much easier to be standing under the car than to be lieing on the floor.
Id also like to add try doing it when the engines cold if your going to be lieing on the floor as if your in the wrong place you dont want hot oil in ur face lol just a thought

what's the best interval to change the oil? Once a year? Every 10k or so?
Looking for a paint correction service? Drop me a PM!

Depends really 10k is advisable, although some FRP owners chnage the oil and filters every 4-5k

had a full service @ Ford main dealer in March & had an engine flush with the oil change.
Also,

best changing oil after the engine has been warm up ( but not hot) this enables the oil to flow out easier.

I reckon oil changes should be carried out every 6000miles. The puma 1.7 has special cylinder liners and vct, both of which require a good supply of fresh oil. After seeing the state of the oil that comes out after 6000miles I wouldn't leave it any longer.

it's perfectly normal for the oil to look 'dark'.... that means it's doing it's job properly and removing the muck from your engine...
