Several people with Pumas have complained about this problem and there was a thread a while back discussing lubrication etc and I don't remember what the final conclusion was (as if there ever is on here!) but it might be worth searching for the thread.

I have this prob if haven't driven for more than a week but I just floor it and it's gone (the problem not the Puma tongue.gif).

EDIT: Found it! Clicky here

the accelerator cable leads upto the "throttle body" basically the pedal is connected to a "hinged door" which when you press down the pedal opens it up to draw air into the engine.

if you oopen the bonnet, its the part where the air tube comes out from the engine. Air box ->MAF-> air tube -> throttle body->engine

Yeah got this prob myself.
If I remember so have a few others on here.
Just pump the Throttle before turning the key in a morning.
Nothing serious.

is it your actual pedal sticking or a sympton of if your pedal was sticking?
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
