I take it you saved the Å“400 wink.gif

Yep! then abused the handbrake to regain the circuit which had shot off to the right with a second right hand corner and the armco was looming fast.

It will mean travelling, but many people I have spoken to have said this place is fantastic.

That does sound good...

"It is designed particularly for enjoyment of high performance road cars and therefore includes huge run off areas, making it probably the safest circuit in the country."

Bedford is supposidly quite good but ideally you want tarmac run off and one on one sessions as even on an airfield trackday they will get upset if you "lose it" at every corner.

You want tarmac run off so you can learn to regain control as if you go onto grass the car will behave differently and it will be harder to recover/ learn how to recover.

prova motorsport use an airfield called sculthorpe for a lot for track days - this used to be the 2nd biggest airfield in the country. 2 tracks and often a local motor club run competitive events alongside.

airfields do tend to be abrasive on the tyres

I'd be interested in an airfield day.

Don't wanna be poodling round a normal track if i was worried of stacking it!

By the time i'd have got the hang of driving round the track the day would be over!
