By the way the car was great performance wise (was "overtaking" the MX5 1.6 and 1.8 turbo) and the brakes were 'ok' but everything was soo hot when coming off track. I left it ticking over though. The fan was on for about 10 mins I think the induction kit in that cooler weather and the bluefin chip gave a good boost. Hell I even had a tank full of bp ultimate 109p to get everything out the engine lol.

keep getting the quotes, perhaps split the repairs out, get quotes for the panel damage repairs and seperately for the respray work, might make it cheaper
it would still be cheaper to repair then replace?
coming up to a corner looking forward to other sessions, from my experience ignore what's behind you (I use peripheral vision really) and concentrate on getting round the corner. Unless it is a straight they shouldn't be trying to pass you (though this is why I wont do Ford Fair anymore).
Be aware of what is behind you but if it is an approach to a corner you need to look forward and they can worry about themselves.
Really sorry that you had an off I plan to allow other cars past once through the corner where they are faster. (unless I can plan to allow them to past as soon as past the apex/exit but this is something I have got better at)
such a bummer Duke

I can sympathise and understand completely how intimidating it can be on your first track session when the powerful machinery comes up behind you.
Hope you get it fixed soon at a decent price and I hope I see you at a track day soon!

That would just leave the rear quarter panel to the experts - though looking at the video I would have thought you could push out the worst of the damage by removing the rear trim and gently persuading the bodywork from inside.
If you are careful, then anything you can do will help to bring that repair cost down:)

Someone else I know did a Caterham experience at CC last weekend and ditched it as well! I don't feel so alone now
But seriously, you are right.. going back out was the best thing I did and even though my Puma is limping it was still one of the best days in years!

You have my respect for pushing it over the limit on the track and not on the road...so you fight to live another day...

I've got to book my first one in the next month or so. Would have liked Castle Combe but it seems to be already booked up.
Hope the next one goes better!
