Got this cable coming from under the passenger seat, what is it?
Posted Image

Got this duo of bad boys coming from the drivers side seatbelt attachment
Posted Image

Coming from here like nothing was up, any ideas?
Posted Image

Got some badass speakers in the back, only problem is these ones aren't working at the minute
Posted Image

Car was a little damp when I got it, I'm currently hunting down the leak
Posted Image

Onto something more serious.

How do you even do that to your light? Hit it with a soft hammer? Get a fat kid to sit on it?

Rims are okay but could use a little work, each one has been lovingly rubbed against a curb.

Loverly under-rust

Not so bad

That bit where it's slightly darker, is because I rubbed it with my finger

You look so beautiful up close

I got hit right square in the face
Posted Image

Right where it hurt
Posted Image

And some idiot dabbed some paint on me
Posted Image

I rust terribly but then again I am a corrosive metal placed under the front of a car and have been for 10 12 years. Any idea where I can get a replacement?

im taking it this was the car that finished on ebay last week? those cables that are under your drivers seat look like audio cables to run an amp maybe, if its been taken out that might be why our rear speakers arent working ??

Nice to have a set of Alcons :good: just make sure they are kept well.. :good:

that is most definatly a speaker wire you've found + a pair of RCA connectors..looks like the previous owner just removed an amp and didn't bother to connect up the speakers to something else....

Not sure where to start so a couple comments :)
Take the front grills out, all of them. Get them blasted (kindly) and then zinc plate and powder coat, they are standard finish in black.
You would pay more to find news ones, assuming you can, then work with what you have.
That rear arch and seam rust is where I would start first and check the rust position underneath.
I would not bother sorting the paint out until you know that rust and mechanically the car is sound.
It looks to have been well used but do you know if the engine and components were maintained.
A great project but I would focus on the basics and leave till last the looking nice and polished.
What about an engine shot :)

Good project you have there to sort out... lots of work on the exterior and plenty of work in the engine bay too!

I would check your local yellow pages and see if you have a powder coater near by. Maybe a local forum member already knows a powder coater who could be used.
You will need to use one I expect to do the grills and also other items like when you perhaps tackle your rear beam, maybe it is very rusty and needs some TLC too. Depends how far you plan to go into making this Puma good top and bottom :)/>

Steven Likes This

If you have a budget for sorting it out, get the rust sorted first; FRP panels are a bit of a sod to come by at reasonable prices, so anything that can be (properly) repaired to a good standard will save money for the other bits.

Looks damned nice though - surprised Ford didn't offer it in black, really suits the shape.

Looks like a good project car, plenty of things to get on with, though I'd look and treat the rust before its gets too bad. Plenty of threads on here about treating rust...

Looking at the engine fitted, is this an FRP resprayed black and fitted with std 1.7 or a standard 1.7 turned into an FRP with body kit and interior ?
