I have noticed that the racing puma has its on separate finis number for the clutch pipe. Why did they change this or is this just the standard 1.7 part. I went into Ford today but they could not supply me with the spring clip which keeps the clutch pipe into the bulkhead housing. My car has not been updated on there computer after it was modified by Tickford.
Any Ford parts folk out there that would have a finis part number for this spring clip(p.s it is not at the slave cylinder end, but the bulkhead end)

Thanks. Ally

I bought the pipework assembly from the clearance centre.
The part number for the whole tube / pipe is 9097879.
Cost me £2.55

I suspect PB has them all now.
MK4 XR3i
Mk3 XR3i
R Reg 1.7 Puma
T Reg 1.7 Lux Puma
Now its Racing Puma 072

What is special about it? I have one, but will I need it? If not, I may be able to do a deal.

Compare it to your standard one Flash and see what is so 'special' about it and see what the differences are.

I already have a spare clutch pipe but I wanted a new circlip which holds the pipe in place. According to Ford they don't exist lol then I showed him my engine bay then all the usual questions i.e Have you modified that?

While driving last week my clutch pipe had jumped out of that very housing with the spring clip sitting in the up position disengaged from the housing allow the pipe to come out. The clutch pedal had went to the floor and very fortunately I had enough momentum to pull into a parking space at a garden centre having broken down at the junction of a roundabout!
Just shows it pays to approach junctions at speed :roflmao:

I'm abit paranoid about it now. Possibly a worn rubber seal causing excess movement allow the spring clip to move about allow pipe to come out.

I bought one of these on ebay for a few quid I thought it would be a useful rare part that may be needed further down the line it didn't come with a clip though unless it's included in the part that you are talking about?
