Hi, just bought my 1st Puma ('98 1.7) so far very happy with it. It's my daily drive and seems to do about 45mpg going to work />
My 1st project is to convert the dash over to a digital one, doesn't look too difficult.
My other Ford is a 1992 Ford Sierra coupe (3dr) 2.3 16v 4x4

Welcome
Do you mean changing to a later series Puma digital dash?
Keep an eye on oil consumption as they hate being low.

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Oil consumption will depend on the condition of the engine, but some use is normal.
Just check the level every week, never let it fall below the low mark on the dipstick.
Why do you want to replace the dash? It may be more effort than it's worth, you may need to replace the ECU also....can of worms

Engine has done 122K (in KM's not miles) only had the car two weeks so I'll keep an eye on it, drives and sounds sweet so far.
I like the digi dash, looks cool. Can't see why the ECU would need changing? Looking at the wiring diagrams it seems straightforward, just a bit of slicing and splicing. Time will tell

That's fairly low mileage (about 75k) I think.
With regular maintenance these engines will do twice that
Car looks good by the way, nice wheels.
