Hi,

I am looking to change the rear brake lines on my FRP (The goodridge braided brake hoses with the hardline section).

I would also ideally like to fit New plastic clips and bolts (fitting kit) when I fit the New rear brake hoses, these are the white plastic clips that secure the hardline brake section to the car body.

Does anyone know if the plastic clips are still available to purchase ? / were they used on another Ford model ? / Does anyone have a part Number please for these two white clips (fitting kit) please.

Thanks

Roger.

These clips?

They are 1043229 - off Fiesta, Escort / Orion. Sadly as far as I'm aware they are NLA. The actual lines with the hard section are available through Simon Crosby. Kate - not sure if Simon is on this site?

Either way, happy to pass on your details to get in touch with him.

Hi XAF,

Yes they are the clips I want, I am a bit worried if they are NLA do you have any spare for sale ?

I am in touch with Simon, he has the hardline brake pipes available but not the clips.

Hi Roger,

I've got some new ones, but to replace the originals I've got on at the moment. They took some tracking down hence why I didn't put them on when rebuilding. I'd consider selling the old ones when I swap them over if yours are beyond redemption. These are the ones that I'm replacing, and repositioning at the same time as bless Tickfords, they didn't line them up to clip both lines in!

The lines in the pictures are Simon's new Goodrich hard-lined recall correct pipes.

That was not Tickford that is the only recall work on the FRP so was some Ford garage.

Not 100% sure but they look like mk2 golf gti brake line clips which are still readily available.

Hi,

The white plastic clips (Ford Finis 1043229) are still available, 85p each + vat, I ordered some from Fordpartsuk.com 10 days ago,
the clips arrived today.

Hi XAF,

I think the Ford Technician who carried out the brake recall modification on your FRP, also carried out the modification on my FRP, my FRP is exactly the same as yours with only
the hardline section fitted into the white clip.

The underneath of your wheel arch, brake pipes & calliper etc are all very clean!!

Ah good stuff! Glad you could get some.

It's taken an awfully long time to get the underneath of the car as clean as that BTW...
