Hi, I'm looking at fitting a ford fiesta ST 150 engine in my Puma.

First of all I would like to know would this fit easily.
Secondly when it comes to buying the engine, what parts would i need to make sure i have e.g. gearbox, exhaust and manifold, wiring loom or would the original puma gearbox and parts fit straight onto the newer fiesta ST engine.

Thanks

As they say, anything is possible with enough time and money. I hear that this isnt a simple conversion by any means. Why dont you go FRP engined for 150ish ponies?

I have not heard of this being done before, although other Ford engines will fit the Puma, with better results than the ST 150 ever had.

This has been done I'm not really sure if you would need to match the gearbox etc with this engine oor not I'd imagine that this would be the case though you're talking alot though to get it done

The engine in the ST150 has a lot of tuning potential, with 150HP being pretty much base trim. You can get these engines well over 230HP with a 2.3 block, exhaust, cams, etc. and there are a load of part available.

If the engine in my car expired, I would probably think very carefully about putting one of these engines in.

thats also exactly what i was going to say, am thinking duratec turbo for mine though that will be somewhere between 250-300hp happy.gif, oh yeah i forgot to mention, COSWORTH PARTS! check out cosworth.com they now do loads of dribble-some parts for duratec 2.0/2.3
