Hi there everyone,
Just purchased a 02 1.7i yesterday and love her, just one thing that the cigarette lighter doesn't seem to actually have any power?? When I push the lighter in it doesn't heat up or pop out, I tried this at every key turn and checked to see if the fuse (which only covers this one thing (no. 1 fuse in the cental fuse box 15amp blue) had blown and no joy) so now confused. I have it under warranty but wondered what it could be as I use the power source for phone charger etc
Any help gratefully read

Hi
I have a 2002 Thunder and the lighter works without the key in the ignition. Have you tried a phone and charger etc in the socket to see if they work, as it may be that just the lighter is faulty?
Regards.
Rick

Cig lighters have a permanent 12v feed. It's not uncommon for the assembly to give up the ghost.
Check the feed with a test lamp.
