Where are you located there are plenty puma friendly garages dotted around the UK.
Pumabuild in Birmingham is not far give them a call re keys.
75% puma parts are fiesta of same era.
An autosmith can sort out your key issue too if you have one you have used before.

You'd need a lock set and and ECU, costs about £100 but you would need to fit it all.
Timpsons can make you a spare, costs about £30.

So can Ford but Ford will be the most expensve at about £130.00 with a none remote key.
Ring a different Ford garage to the one you tried.
Ring Pumabuild.
This is a problem you can fix just as Ian says ignore your Dealer that you spoke to they are gloomy.

There is a key coding article in the Wiki so you can save money and do it yourself.

When I bought my Puma the remote key was lost, so I only have the non-remote with the starter lock function and one very slim key that just opens the door. I couldn't find anything on keys in the Wiki. What do I do to get a spare with the starter lock/unlock function, and preferably one with remote. I saw on E-bay that it is possible to buy uncut remote keys - but can I program it for the starter lock? For example: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5d444c2d98

If you have only one key that opens and starts the car you will need to use either Ford or say and Autolock smith. The latter will be cheaper.
