Hi,

All during the Summer, which was very warm I did not change from cold on my puma 1.4 heater.Last week the weather turned cold and for the 1st time in months,i switched to warm air.But still only cold air was coming out with no warm air. This will be a problem when the frost and ice returns.I contacted my Local Garage who told me that it would take about 3 hours to check aqll the wiring and could cost up to 400 Euro inc.parts.There is no way I could pay this and was wondering if anybody might now what is causing the proble. Thanks to all.

Start with changing the Heater Control Valve (HCV), a well known problem, and make sure you buy a genuine Ford product.
You can easily put a voltmeter on the HCV plug and move the controls inside the car and it will read from 0 to 14'ish volts to check your heater circuits are ok before buying another HCV.

Rick

The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.
