The bar across the bulk head is what pushes your brake master cylinder, cost its on the "wrong" side of the car!

Small update, removed the upper engine mount last week. Gave it a good clean and a scrub after soaking it in degreaser for a day or so.

After a clean and degrease-

Gave it a nice coat of Hammerite silver, much better-

Progress has been a little slow over the past few weeks but things seem to be moving in the right direction. Should have quite a few updates in the next few days Posted Image

Picked up some stuff from the electro platers the other day, majority here are for the engine bay area-

Posted Image

And a few more that I had forgotten to take so had them done seperately-

Posted Image

Hopefully get on with putting the engine bay back together tonight Posted Image

Ok so made good progress over the weekend on the engine bay. Got most of it back together, fitted TB, battery tray, battery, air mass senor, intake pipe work and airbox.

My throttle body, gave it a good clean with a wire brush-

Then painted and rebuilt using the plated parts in my previous post-

Posted Image

Posted Image

Cleaned and dressed my battery tray, also painted the metal strap around the outside edge and also fitted plated bolts too-

Posted Image

My conduit cable covers were starting to look old / grey and tatty looking out with the old-

Posted Image

And in with the new, I fitted these to most of the existing wiring that were on show-

Posted Image

Refitted my left hand engine mount which had been painted along with plated buts and bolts-

Posted Image

Did quite a bit more but it got dark so no photos Posted Image

Oh and picked this up on Saturday, my original steering wheel trimmed using FRP genuine alcantara material and a dark grey leather to match the airbag casing Posted Image

Thanks for looking, Alex

Took the car out a couple of weeks ago, was al ovely day and I wanted to try out my new DSLR camera. I knew of an old abandoned garage just off the A38 on the way to Derby. Got some good shots and had a good 30 mile drive in the Puma to give it a good run.

Thank you! I'm really pleased with how its turning out, it definitely has a long term future in my ownership. This winter should see a full front running gear strip down. I have already fitted new front shocks, drop links, top mounts and track rod ends but want to drop the front sub frame, drive shafts, ARB and wishbones to have them powder coated to match the rear axle. Will also refurbish the front steering knuckles and fit new bearings and ABS sensors whilst it is in pieces.

Watch this space!
