Puma 97 Vct Cold starting

Hi peeps any idea what do when the puma difficult to start from cold ...alright when warm ...cheers

Might be spark plugs worn, when did it have a full service last?

My sparks are only 10,000 miles old ????

In the NL the recommended interval is 15.000km or 9500miles.. Seems quite unlikely though they fail allready.. Did you check on error codes?

temp sensor?? faulty idle control valve, +++ have you had a diagnosticc test done?? is it hard to start like it turns over for ever, or is it nearly there but not quite, and then sudenly starts??

Turn it over for a couple secs nothing ....do the same but this abit of throttle ....leave it for 10 secs ...in case it floods ..turn it over again couple for a of secs give abit of throttle ...this time it fires .....it's starting to happen sometimes when warmed up ????

had a simelar problem whit a 940 the other day, was the idle control valve...

try cleening it, se if it couold be stuck.

Thanks for your help man .....I ain't long cleaned that out ...was trying to solve another prob ....I gap my plugs & .9 mm ...the last time I gapped them was prob a year ago ..for some reason they had moved something like 1.1 mm ..gapped them again yeststerday ....0.9 mm ..started ok this morn 1st time and been ok all day ???
