Not really. Took a few of the kids in the school hall yesterday (well, 102 lol) during a circus skills workshop. I was really pleased with the results I got. I was looking forward to trying it out for real at a point to point meeting at the weekend but the weather looks like putting pay to that. sad.gif

The 40D has 6.5 fps - the 400D has only 3.5. It makes a great difference when you are taking shots of horses moving extremely quickly over fences. With 3.5 fps you only get 2 frames of the horse jumping and can miss the best shots. Now I can get the inbetween shots smile.gif

Tried it out on Sunday at a Point to Point. Got some great shots, including a 17 frame sequence of a fall, right in front of me, on the last circuit of the day. Couldn't believe my luck, especially as they are all sharp!! ja_cool.gif Horse and rider got up and walked away smile.gif I will post some when I have time to reduce them in size.

Excellent camera. Money well spent!!!

come up and see me...make me smile

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Never look down on somebody, unless you are helping them up!

Yes it's pink and yes it's a Milly.

Ooh very nice smile.gif You captured the fall well, glad they were both ok though smile.gif 18.gif

My Dad said he'd buy me a Canon or Nikon (something along those lines) if I "got good" with my photography... I only play though! I'd like to do a course or something if I had time!

some cracking shots there, Pat - something of a benchmark for us to compare our action shots against!

@ Lisa - I think you're going to have your work cut out with a new new baby - you'll maybe have time for a photography course around 2020 wink.gif

Yours would have been just as good if your lens hadn't been playing up. However, I did get one up on you regarding the fall ..... I had a sequence of 17, just a pity you weren't looking the right way biggrin.gif

Lisa - you don't need a course - you will get all the practise you need taking photos of the baby. Just play around with the camera and learn from your mistakes.
