while away at the weekend I found a couple of scenes which seemed to lend themselves nicely to creating some panoramic shots. The smaller versions are below but i have included links to the full sized ones which may take a little while to load. I think the view from the castle one is around 18MB
4 shots taken:

Unfortunately I've noticed a slight black section in the top left corner which needs touching up a bit, but still quite happy with it
I just used autostitch as I haven't got round to downloading a version of the program Matt has previously mentioned (autopano I think it was).

Aye, Autopano is what you really need as it also removes issues like you have pointed out

thanks. I was feeling lazy with them when I did them yesterday afternoon, a couple of hours after getting back from the trip and just stuck with what was already on the PC .
The view from the castle was pretty stunning a bit of a climb but definitely worth it. Seeing all those BMWs lined up was pretty cool too though

With the last one how about that software that creates a 360 revolving tube view? That looks like it would work very well with those images.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

You can do that with autopano Kate - its fantastic stuff!
Paul, got to say autostitch has worked well though as cant see the joins in the castle image ( not had close look at the other one yet )

nice idea kate, although the pictures taken were less than 180 degrees from the top so I'm not sure how it would work with not having the full info. I'd like to give that sort of thing a go though at some point. Sounds like a very interesting idea. I presume you would need to take enough frames to cover the full 360 degrees first though.
Matt, I do like how easy autostitch is to use. left all settings as standard apart from choosing the size of the completed image, just choose either max height or max width and it sorts everything out for you, then jus select images and let it do its thing

Yep, that's right. Here's a picture taken in the town (and a picture I really quite like too). you can see the top of the tower in the top right of the picture. Quite a long way up from the town
definitely worth the 2.30 euros it cost (or whatever it was lol)
