Got a few bits and bobs planned for #453 this year, so i thought i'd start a nice little thread....

Damm iv'e spent a few quid already and havn't even had anything done yet to the car... laugh.gif

plans include...

paintwork... I'm going to get this done in two stages.... the rear of the car is being done first include re-working of the rear arch seam and painting the doors etc....Just purchased the Paint.. ohmy.gif The really good 2K ICI stuff is £52 + VAT per ltr Trade price...eek... painter has recommended i get 3 ltr's lol so that there is plenty to go round covering both projects....+ I'm keeping a bit back for some Mudflaps.. biggrin.gif so thats £170odd quid already on paint... laugh.gif

Fitting of New Stainless Janspeed system inlcuding a ceramic coated manifold...PLasma sprayed by Zircotec coatings... don't get me started on the price of this either... roflmao.gif

Fitting of a Fiesta ST Clutch this will look similar in size and shape to the Focus ones a few people have been fitting, but is rated to handle much more power...looking forward VERY much to getting this fitted... woot2.gif managed to pick one off Ebay with the bearing for £120...amazing!

here is a shot of the manifold....just got it back today... woot2.gif

This all sounds very cool, is the white coat the ceramic spray?

How did you know what exact paint to purchase? and also didnt realise you can replace the clutch with focus or fiesta ones lie!

It is a lot on money bein spent but u know it will be all worth it when its all done! Schweete!

That manifold looks sweet, also wish I had considered the Fiesta ST one instead of the Focus one, Focus one is fine, but stronger the better!

It's done with a plasma spray process... VERY high temperature...very high tech stuff.... have a read on their website...they work on some very expensive cars including Formula1 etc...

smile.gif

here is a piccy of the clutch... it really is a nice bit of kit...

Big thanks to Burfy Boy for all his leg work on sorting this comparison out for me... 10.gif 10.gif 10.gif

Yeah, i really think this will be the icing on the cake Kate...

It's a really sturdy piece of kit at the side of the puma one and rated up 300+NM i believe... the friction ring on the standard one just overheats so easily...

can't wait to get the Helix out the car now, iv'e put up with it for so long...

Interesting that all the early 'upgrades' that i did to the car mostly at Pumabuild are now going in the bin... laugh.gif

I am happy with everything that I have done to date, though I am glad I never did the Helix when it was fashionable, though I am sure it is right for some too smile.gif
CC is going to be a bit eye popping I think, there are a few this year arriving with changes

One thing i'm glad i never messed with is the pedals...

partly down to colins influence here...he was always against messing with them.... smile.gif smile.gif

but after doing a few cars now with sparco pedals, all of them have an AWFUL pedal feel... i don't know why but they just cause so much extra movment mad.gif my dads is the same too...

iv'e got a set of the 'road' pedals in my cupboard...may fit them in the fezzy or may just put back on Ebay

Chris

one of my changes this year is I am removing my pedals, bought a new accelorator pedal unit and have new rubbers to fit the other two, as they are metal I wont replace the actual pedal

I bet it's awful going from standard pedals! I'm used to my Sparcos now, but I'd agree that the pedal feel is better on the standard items smile.gif
