New Alloys For Puma. What Fits?

I want to get some new alloys for my Puma, but I am struggling to understand what to look for when purchasing.

The code on the tires is

195/50 R15

Now, I know this means the width of the tire is 195mm, and the rim is 15 inch, yes? And the 50 means some other crap as well. wink.gif

I was wondering, does any alloy fit(with new tires that come with them), as long as they are four studs that fit Fords? Is there anything else to take in to consideration?

One last one, does any ford alloys fit on any other ford as long they are four studs? Thanks.

108mm Early Audi 4 stud, Ferrari (5 stud, so don't think you can stick a set of F50 wheels on your Fiesta!), Ford 4 stud, Jaguar X type, Peugeot early Porsche 4 stud, Renault 5 stud, Early Saab, TVR and Volvo

This is the only thing mentioned about 4 stud Fords. I take it this is what I am after then?

God, Ebay is crap. It doesn't let you filter the wheels with PCD 108.

Let me get this right.

EDIT:

Does it matter if I buy an alloy between ET34 -ET38, or does it have to be spot on?

In terms of holes in the wheel it will fit smile.gif

Another thing to consider is that you can get larger wheels, you could go for 16's with a lower profile tyre (the 50 you mentioned earlier is the profile)
Or if your after style over function (arguably) 17's also.

So, do you mean they wont fit? Going off the info, they have the right offset, have the right stud holes (108), and same tires as my current ones. Only thing I am not sure about is the rim width 6.5J. Does this have to match exactly as the old tyres, or can I get 7J, 7.5J etc?

Looks like they will fit, I was just providing an alternative in that you don't HAVE to keep 15 inch wheels
I don't understand why wheels are measured using 6.5, 7, 7.5, when tyres are measured using 195, 205 etc...just adds more confusion to the matter.

The link you provided states they are 195 wide, so if thats why you have alreay you won't have any problems (I hope, lol)

Ok thanks a lot.

So basically, I need wheels that are 108mm with an offset 0f 34-38. Rest of its not as important, as long as the wheels aren't so big, they rub against the chassis.

Basically yea...your wheels will not be 108mm though, the stud gap will be (ie, PCD)
Also as long as you reduce profile of the tyres, you can fit larger wheels with no problems smile.gif

You can also cross reference here, a lot of people on eBay don't even write down the wheels' dimensions correctly, I asked a seller about some nice deep dish steelies listed at 15" but they turned out to be 14".

You can cross reference between different makes so long as the PCD is the same, it's possible to get centre bore adaptors and spacers to cater for different offsets (within reason).

Hi, would have liked a set of wheels that's not on any other Puma but at least these ones will definately fit & anything is better than the prop ones I have at the mo + the Offset will be correct smile.gif

Thanx for all the advise

Regards Rob

I was in the same mind when I was after some wheels, in the end I got what came with the tyres. The tyres were brand new so I got the wheels for nowt and actually like them better than any other I saw. wink.gif
