Hi all, ive just joined ur site, ive had my puma for about three months and absolutely love it, its a 1.7, its black got smoked side repeaters and an ms spoiler thats gonna to be fitted soon (hopefully happy.gif ) but have had one small problem. When pulling away in first gear once the car gets to 2000rpm the engine makes a loud sort of crunch or grinding noise and really doesn't sound healthy. Wondered if anyone has heard of it before or knows what it could be, would really appreciate any ideas.
Thanx guys
Pip xx

Welcome to Pumapeople. biggrin.gif

A complete guess, but read this thread. Does it sound familiar, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Welcome to PumaPeople smile.gif

It does sounds like the Puma's self-testing thing - nothing to worry about.

ABS self test @ 15mph, likened to everything from a gearbox grinding to a cat farting, nothing to worry about.

Hey, welcome to PP.

Luckily for me, the previous owner warned me. It is an odd noise if you don't know what it is!

Welcome to the site. Have you got a pic of the black puma with smoked side repeaters? I'd like to get mine changed.
