Hi
I have just purchased my 1st Puma and have found that the radio will only work on AM. Is this likely to be a faulty radio or is there a seperate FM amplifier

Welcome biggrin.gif
Whilst no idea about your radio issue, do have a read of this, contains important information you need to check on your Puma smile.gif
clicky me
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Welcome to the forum.

Is the aeriel OK? Not damaged in any way and screwed in right? AM will pick up more easily than FM

Does it try to do anything at all when you try the FM button?

I changed mine at the first oppertunity they just aren't great and seem prone to faults. I have kept it so I have the original of course but personally I'd simply buy another and keep it as a spare. smile.gif

Oh P.S not a massive fan of Halfords but they are doing a special on a Sony Cd player with USB connection for £69.99 at the moment pretty good deal.

I spent £180 on my pioneer which now seems stupid after seeing that price lol.

Lol not only did I know someone was going to say that the funny thing is I knew it would be you! smile.gif

I'm sure there are plenty out there that work fine....But if you read up on them they seem a little prone to faults and haven't got the greatest sound quality just depends on how important these things are to you I guess and if you use them a lot etc. smile.gif

Nah matey on the whole I'm pretty laid back and I would never have a dig at someone just because they don't have the same view as me. Like I said always good to read about other people's experiences. smile.gif It's why I'm here I love these Puma's and the information I have gotten from people such as yourself and off this site in general has been fantastic. In truth I think I have become too passionate about this Car I always want it to be 100% perfect and as we all know cars and life just isnt like that. smile.gif
