Hello all, it's been quite a while since visiting so hope everyone has remained well during this pandemic.
I have a small issue with my rear view mirror on my green Puma. It fell off!! And now we cannot find any adhesive pads that will hold it back to the windscreen for more than a few days.
Can anyone please recommend any they have used that do the job and where to get them from or an alternative glue that will work?
Thanks
GF.

Hi, great to see the Puma is around.
I have always bought the mirror adhesive pad from my local Ford parts department, it sticks like a super sticky thing for the mirror. The mirror has remained stuck for years now since it fell off.

Hi HK,

Good to hear from you.

Yep she went through another MOT relatively painlessly a few weeks ago and still going strong. The old girl has had a good clean, polish and general spruce up today so sat gleaming on the drive at the moment. T-cut did an amazing job of cutting back the engrained filth on headlight lens too (in case anyone is wondering how to clean theirs up a bit) & buffed up with turtle wax to protect.

Thanks for the tip and I'll go get a sticky from Ford, after all their original one lasted best part of 21 years 😊

That's a great tip re the lenses, and your Puma sounds to be in as good a shine as the day I last saw it.
The replacement sticky I have stuck here on the mirror from Ford has been on a very long time now, your mirror did really well on the original stick.
I hope you can pick up a sticky easily.

Of course the local Ford dealer didn't have one but they did say to spray the bottom of the mirror stem with WD40 as they become very stiff so I did that and that has made adjusting the mirror much easier. We got a Ford sticky pad online....and so far so good 👍 so thanks for that HK as I didn't want to have to get a suction one from Halfords to replace it with 😒
