welcome
The main and dip beams are the same bulb (from memory) but separate bulbs. Just checked the Wiki HB3 LL (55w halogen bulb)
The head light unit can be improved with a good clean, make sure the alignment is good and a good polish of the exterior.
Very nice other car.

I'm looking to get some new bulbs soon. I have exactly the same problem with the bulbs being rubbish and way too dim. I've had a quick check on the Halfords website. There's a filter near the top of the page to look for headlamp bulbs.

Bulbs here

There are some brighter options available, so I reckon I'll give them a go. Posted Image

I've just bought 2 130% brighter bulbs from Halfords (haven't fitted them yet). I'd be very interested to see how you get on with the eBay bulbs. If they're good I'll get some for full beam.

Just a word of caution for anyone buying bulbs from Halfords. I went to fit my new bulbs the other day and they'd sold me the wrong ones! Not good when I had a bulb blow on me, necessitating a change of bulb that evening....!

If anyone wants a pair of HB4 9006 bulbs for £20 (inc postage) then let me know. In the meantime I've ordered some HB3s from evilBay.

I'd go back to Halfords especially if you asked for assistant help to get the right bulbs.

Unfortunately I bought them whilst in the UK over the Christmas period. I'm back home now (Isle of Man) and there's no Halfords here. Plus I paid cash and stupidly threw the receipt away. Posted Image

Looking good! How are you finding them in the dark? Any better than what you were using before?

Lol! Well, I fitted the cheapies I bought from eBay. They have a slight blue hue to them and the light they give off is certainly a bit whiter, meaning that it's a bit better for me to see in the dark. For about £10 for four bulbs (I fitted all four at once), so far so good! It's just a shame that the standard Puma headlamps are so rubbish.

Halfords database list the Puma bulbs as HB4 even though they should be HB3?!

Nearly got caught out but they didn't have any in stock anyway!
