Doesn't it make the gearstick about 3 inches taller?

I measured...about 2cms overall. Until the junior hacksaw is brought out to shorten the gearstick and restore it back to the original height...

Its wierd, ive never found the gearknob being hot or cold a problem, I think years of having alloy gearknobs in all my cars has paid off and im now immune to it laugh.gif

I stick my sunglasses felt cover over it when getting out at night for the next day, and removing it when it gets warmer in the day.
And it is free too !! LOL

It's not the 'Pumas knob', it's a very common feature of classic sports cars...but I guess for many people it's the first time they've seen a spherical alloy knob so obviously the Puma was the first car to have it...

Whether it is or not, I don't like it 1112202173.gif

When I first got my Puma I thought water had come in my car somewhere as the knob felt wet (gearknob!) but it was just cold. biggrin.gif And I wasn't used to it.

I personalized mine to like it more and I also wear leather gloves so no problems here. But i like the gearknob you changed to as well. Just it is a little over budget for me.

My gearknob in green:

i bought a sparco knob a couple of years back now..... ditched it.... it totally ruined the feel of the gear changing, it made it feel longet like a focus almost and just felt like it had lost of lot of that glitchy precision...
