Well not being disrespectful to that person but id be 40bhp down and definitely wouldn't be able to pull 9000 revs without these ports The person who does our cylinder heads is amazing and has specced the head perfectly to my engineHopefully will see a healthy 240bhp

I had a big valve ported head on a 1660 cross flow years ago. The valves almost touched as they were so big.
That produced 140 odd bhp at 8200rpm :)
Also head a ported head on a pinto which put out around 160bhp.
Highly polished exhaust and opened right up but rough to help the swirl and mix on the inlet.

To match my spec around 1500 maybe more as a single insert is £30 but its all the other super 1600 bits i have to use such as valve springs, collets, retainers and so on which gets expensive The outright engine to any normal person would be 10k You could say im glad im in the position i am in with the help from the old man :)

Sorry i have not updated in a while have been waiting on piston issues.
Now pistons are sorted and have started building the engine. :)
Compression ratio is now also sorted with a little more off the block.
Washed everything off today put the shells, crank in and got it all torqued up

Then sorted the billet part of my inlet and took it to be anodised in aeroquip blue to match the fittings going to be in the fuel rail,
Painted oil pump,

The head is all built up ready for the inlet,Going to do ring gaps tomorrow then i can finish the bottom end ready for the head to go on,Bit of plating and painting then it should be about there, i have not decided on cam cover colour yet i was thinking blue.
Its all coming together pretty quick now Posted Image
Just need to get a week of empty dyno time Posted Image

Hopefully will be about there after a couple of hours after work and saturday on it. But need the old man for the cam timing etcStill have not yet decided on cam cover colour so it might go on the dyno as is for now.
