Hi. Guys not been in here for couple years. Sold my puma 3 years ago as had new job with. 57 mile commute each day. Bought sensible? Honda civic 2.2 diesel?

No where near as much fun as Puma! Im looking to get another Puma would prefer Thunder model in grey.

Has anyone come up with a permanent fix for wheel arch rust? Can those mat things in arches br removed & arches rust proofed & sealed?

Thanks

Kev

Peugeot 206 front wings, cut the wheel arch out of the Pug wing and weld into Puma. You need the opposite side front wing to the side that needs replacing ( front nearside to repair rear offside etc). Wings cost about £15 - £20 each and approx £220 a side to cut and weld/spray.
BOK is our co-pilot.

my back arches are pretty bad, about an inch wide all the way around

.

my plan is to sand it back a bit, paint with some kind of rust protection and as its a pretty old car ive just order sonme of these, will post pics of before and after when i get around to doing it.
i think it will look pretty cool on my black with all four arches done, cheers, might even look a bit like the FRP :derr:/>

Hi David,

You're just in time, and just in luck - I'll be placing the order for our group buy on custom-made arch replacements from Germany early next week, and I have one set left (at the lowest price, as units from 21 on are subject to an additional shipping charge due to weight) as someone just dropped out yesterday.

More info here:
http://www.projectpu...hp?f=65&t=19805

You'll need to send me £53.80 either by bank transfer or PayPal (if paying by PayPal you will need to send £56.13 as PayPal will take a commission).

That will pay for the manufacture and delivery of your set to me in Reading. Then we'll need to figure out how to get them to you. Many people participating are close to areas I travel to frequently anyway, or are regulars on the show scene so I will deliver them personally. Depending on where you are I may have to courier them to you at additional cost to yourself - I'd expect to get change from a tenner, though.

Bear in mind that these are just sheets of steel cut to fit, with a lip that exactly matches the Puma arch. The old, rusty metal will need to be cut out, and this new piece welded on, then it will need to be sanded, primed and repainted - budget for £250-300 per side, or around £500 if you get both done at the same time and be pleasantly surprised if you get some change.

Regards,
Rob

That's great news Rob, all I need is your e-mail I'll send the money over through Paypal? I live in Edinburgh so I'll have to arrange a courier at a later date.

Thank you for the quick reply!

Regards

David

Hi All. First post as only collected my 2001 1.7 60k miler yesterday....great fun. Bought it knowing that one rear wing had a minor dose of metal worm and popped it in at a local bodyshop and was quoted £800 plus VAT for the repair (cut out bad metal, replace with new, fill, paint etc). Anyone recommend someone more reasonable in the Maidstone/|Kent area?

Hi there,
I need to sort my rear wheel arches on my Y reg 1.7 that ive owned since new and am looking to get it done with metal versus filler.

Is the Peugeot 206 front wing replacement for a particular year of 206 please?

Im trying to make sure i dont order the wrong ones. Any tips or advice gratefully received. Thanks.

It looks like expressed steel now do Puma panels, I have not fitted them myself.
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
