Petrol Consumption

I do three mile there and three mile back
Are these shorter journeys draining more petrol , then a slightly longer journey
Have been concerned an may check tyres etc to ensure I am not wasting fule due to in correct pressure
any one esle had similar experiences

Your water let alone your oil is not coming up to temp, so you are creating per mile a huge amount of wear in the engine.
On top of that , the cat will only work correctly when at correct operating temp, which happens after the oil is up to correct T's and P's.
So you are also chopps out more polution.
Get a push bike

The engine is warm, by end of journey wil lthis make much differnce ???

But even for the 1.4 and the 1.6 that sort of usage is a slow death sentence.
I'd certainly get a pushbike and use it on every dry day I could. Three miles is an ideal cycling distance, builds fitness, saves money, protects your engine.

Just allow ten minutes more in the morning and evening and have a nice cruise somewhere, problem solved! I take it you enjoy driving do you?
