driving on the A5104 near Llandegla in North wales, slowish I might add (50mph) & lost total control of the car on what I think was ice - the next thing I know I'm down an embankment, done a couple of side rolls & sat upside down in the middle of a field - NOT a pleasant experience. Kat must be a write-off & I've now got to consider what to buy to replace it, trouble is I've lost some confidence in it now & may not buy another to replace it.
this is a warning for anyone around those North wales roads in winter - THEYRE BLOODY DANGEROUS !!!!

I've always been told that the best thing to do after a car crash is get behind the wheel again as soon as pos..
(Although when I did this I crashed again within a day! - but it was a bmw so doesn't really count )

Whatever you buy an unexpected ice patch will have similar effects. No car is guaranteed to grip under those circumstances. Just a bit of bad luck I think.

On a personal level I'm always impressed to hear how well the shell seems to stand up in these circumstances. (On the other hand I suppose not many of those who die in cars come back and post on Forums.)
Once again - really pleased for you and your friends / family

have to admit I was pretty impressed how the car was after the accident - both doors opened perfectly despite being crumpled - had a little luck though (if you can call it that!!!) in that the field I "landed" in was moorland & a bit boggy so probably absorbed some of the impact. The PC who came to the accident told me that was the second accident of the day on the same section of road so one to watch for the A5104 !!
looking back though it amazes me just how simple it is to have what could have been a fatal accident, wasn't driving mad or anything, just going about my normal daily routine - certainly makes you think

come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D
