Just been quoted £600 including fitting for the following work

Cam kit
Aux belt
Water pump
Rocker gasket.

Is this a decent price? Said he'd never done one before so that put me off straight away, Ford Service centre too.

I'm 70 miles from PumaSpeed so it's probably a no brainier to book there. Not sure how it can be done with warm engine though. Unless I get my dad to follow me down drop it off the day before and pick it up the day after fitment.

searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale

Oxford Ford charged me £750, all of what you've said but not a water pump but full service included. (My FRP also now has a tiny oil leak... I'm blaming the Ford monkeys)

Where abouts are you, if you are south of Puma Speed you probably aren't too far from Nottingham I would ask Chris > http://www.allisonautomotive.co.uk/ don't think he only does FRPs.

I'm going to attempt to get mine up to see him in 2017... fair trek from Oxford though, but he's got major kudos on these forums.

I'm located in Stockton in Teesside. I had a look at the list of garages but the only one near us in Durham has now become Jennings Ford which is where the quote came from.
