Hope these post up OK as I tried a little while ago and gave up when the picture url box thing was playing up (looks like it's been sorted now).

Anyway, I was at Santa pod the other Sunday having a bit more of a play with the new camera body and thought I would share some of the resulting images with you all :)

It was a quiet day so I was lucky enough to get round behind the start line to get a few shots from an angle I'm not normally able to get. the last picture I think at the moment is my favourite one I've taken this year and possibly my best pic up to now since I started taking things more seriously :)

Anyway, all comments etc. welcome as usual :) enjoy

some great pics there, Paul

I prefer the later ones to the earlier ones because the first few have something to distract you eg telegraph wires

(ok I am being a perfectionist, I know!)

lol @ Pat. are you calling me a bum there? :)

Ben, no problems with being a perfectionist or being picky etc. It's those little things which can make or break a picture. For example with the start line one I took one a bout half a minute before, standing up and with the brakelights of the two previous cars visible and I don't think it looked as good as the one I posted here. Actually, here it is:

with the backgrounds on the first few, I didn't have such a choice of what the background was with it being in the paddock area and not able to move the bikes to a better location :) the first one was actually with me kneeling between the front end of two transit vans, with the rear corners of each one just off each side of the frame. the second one had to either be the fencing or the big grey grandstand such as in this one:

and I think the third and fourth ones would have been better without the cars in the background, but can't really help that sadly :(

not too bad for the second outitng with the new body though :D
